About the Fund
The Detroit Firemen's Fund Association was founded in 1866 for the purpose of providing aid to the widows of fallen fire fighters.
As members of the Fund, we are there to provide assistance and support to families during their time of need. It is during these difficult times, that we are there to help.
Our membership is comprised of both active and retired fire fighters, and is supported by membership dues, fund raisers, and other monetary donations by concerned patrons in our community.
We also volunteer our time with community activities. Our special Clown Team and Thrill Team provide entertainment for the community and have put a smile on children's faces when they are ill or recovering from serious injuries or burns.
Fire Fighters are a special breed, they don't preach the life of brotherhood they live it.

Congratulations goes out to John Cowan, Kim Fett and Tom Suchora on their elections. We all were sad that Ed Veda is not going to be on the board anymore. Ed complied a lot of wisdom over his 18 years as trustee, good luck as Chief 6.
The calendar is back and we sold over 1100. It was very difficult we had to jump through a lot of hoops to get the licenses back . The fund raising for the rig is in its 6 years, were hoping to have it ready for Memorial Day. Check out Jim Montgomery's page for some up dated photos of the rig.
The web pages are new to most of us, I know for my self ,,it will take some getting use to. Please check out the other pages. So take care and be safe out there.Don
